For over twenty years, Austin Java has served the Lone Star capital as a coffeehouse with a sense of community, offering guests a place to "bring your laptop and work the day away, with a cup of locally-roasted coffee." Locally owned and operated, Houndstooth Coffee is a well-known piece of the vibrant Texas Coffee scene. It is community that the shop values most--named for the traditional plaids which served as regional identities for the native people of Scotland.
