Houndstooth Coffee

Houndstooth Coffee is a coffee bar focusing mainly on espressos. It is a haven for true coffee aficionados, of which Austin holds many. The rotating selection of beans is the main focus of the shop.

Preparation of the beans is rather simple and the focus is therefore on the quality of the beans themselves rather than the styles of drinks.

Caffe Medici

Most of the coffee shops on our list are relatively recent additions to a more trendy scene, but this particular staple of Austin’s coffee culture has been around for quite a while now. At this point it has five branches around the city, with the Clarksville branch being the oldest. It has an elegant vibe and takes on the form of a bar located downtown.

Caffe Medici now has an online ordering system that allows you to enjoy the famous Medici roast without having to make any personal contact during these challenging times.
