Overview
Austin Bergstrom International Airport - ABIA address is located at 3600 Presidential Blvd, just 5 miles southeast of downtown Austin (Austin Airport Guide). Locally, Austin International Airport is the largest of the airports near Austin TX, and was previously the Bergstrom Air Force Base site. It now serves an average of 510 arrivals and departures this week, with departure traffic destined for 76 destinations across North America and Europe. There are parking spots for all travelers, including Austin Bergstrom Airport long-term parking, short-term parking, and you can often find Bergstrom parking coupons online. Often, the cheap airport parking Austin is at the two parking facilities, Garage 1 & 2 in the Economy Parking Lots.
The airport covers 4,242 acres to reduce taxi delays and features a total of two runways for departure and arrival traffic and three helipads. ABIA takes the name of Texas A&M graduate Captain John August Earl Bergstrom, the first native Austinite to be killed in action during World War II.

ABIA (AUS airport code) offers access to the following airline providers: AeroMexico, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Lufthansa, Norwegian Air, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines, Vacation Express and West Jet.
Airline desks are located at the Barbara Jordan Terminal, accessed by State Highway 71. Additional airlines Allegiant and Frontier are located at the South Terminal, accessed via ABIA’s south boundary.
Airborne delays are a frustrating part of air travel, whether general departure delays or travelers experiencing airborne delays or arrival delays. Thankfully, the ABIA website constantly monitors the movements of each flight so travelers can at least rearrange their plans if necessary and contact baggage claims.
Ground Transportation
ABIA is committed to keeping you on the go once you touch down in Austin with customer service attendants to answer all your queries. Ground Transportation is located at Barbara Jordan Terminal. Transport options include:
1.)Capital Metro Bus Service, with service along the high-frequency Route 20.

3.)Rental Car Companies, including Enterprise (737-484-3902) and National (737-484-3885)

Austin Airport Parking
*NOTE: Currently, cash is not accepted at ABIA parking locations due to COVID concerns. Accepted payment options include credit/debit cards and “frequent parker” cards.
There is a variety of parking near Austin Airport, some on-site and some off-site. There are three separate parking garages: Red Garage, at a rate of $20 per day; Blue Garage, at a rate of $10 per day; and Economy Parking, at a rate of $8 per day. NOTE: Economy Parking is temporarily closed as of January 15th, 2020.

Additionally, some travelers prefer the cheap parking of BABIA offsite parking, where you park outside the airport and take a bus to the terminal. There is no free parking facility at the airport.
Shopping, Dining & Entertainment
Austin is a city of hospitality, with good food and live music around every corner. Live music performances are also a favorite here, showcasing local musicians at the Live Music Stage.

COVID-19 Guidelines
Implementation of sanitizing stations, frequent cleaning of restrooms and common areas, and use of high-end air filtration systems have left a polled 95.1% of passengers feeling secure about their AUS airport experience. Guidelines and best practices will continue to evolve with the fluid situation.
As of January 26th, 2021, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) will require a negative COVID-19 test for all international passengers entering the United States. Tests must be completed three days prior to flight date, and documentation of test results must be provided in order to board your flight. Failure to comply will result in a denial to board.
